A Compassionate Guide on Your Healing Journey
I am Kristine S. Miller, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 30 years of experience in mental health, specializing in trauma-informed, integrative therapy for individuals and couples. My approach is deeply rooted in the belief that human responses to trauma, emotional pain, and life transitions are adaptive and meaningful. Rather than viewing clients as broken or in need of fixing, I see therapy as a collaborative process where healing unfolds when individuals are provided with safety, respect, and the space to reclaim agency and self-trust.
A defining moment in my journey as a therapist was when I met Dr. Steven Vazquez and experienced Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT®) firsthand during one of his seminars. This transformative experience reshaped my understanding of healing and reinforced my commitment to approaches that combine neuroscience with lived experience, focusing on the nervous system’s natural ability to heal when given the right conditions.
I am deeply passionate about offering therapeutic work that honors the unique needs of each client. Therapy with me is paced and collaborative, focusing on creating a safe space where you can explore your emotions, connect with your deeper wisdom, and uncover new possibilities. I value transparency, consent, and clear boundaries in the therapeutic relationship, and I work best with individuals who are ready for deep, thoughtful healing and are not interested in rushed solutions.
Having spent many years working in diverse settings, I’ve always felt drawn to the beauty and vastness of Montana, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to establish Moonwater Integrative in this remarkable place. I believe in a therapy that is grounded, ethical, and human—one that holds a space for you to rediscover your true self.
Moonwater Integrative is a trauma-focused, person-centered practice serving adults and couples throughout Montana's Flathead Valley and across the state via secure telehealth. We specialize in innovative, neuroscience-informed therapies that are rare in Montana, expanding access to cutting-edge care. Our practice offers Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT®), a powerful attachment-based approach enhanced by visual brain stimulation to support emotional regulation and healing. We also provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with Journey Clinical, combining medically supervised ketamine administration with expert psychotherapy for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other trauma-related conditions.
Our Montana clients receive compassionate, coordinated support for holistic well-being and nervous system regulation. We believe healing is not linear—it happens in layers, at a pace that honors your readiness and nervous system capacity. Through attachment-focused, relational therapy grounded in this understanding, healing unfolds with patience, dignity, and respect for your lived experience. We integrate Polyvagal Theory, trauma-informed practice, and consent-centered relational pacing into every session. Our work uses neurogenic therapies and somatic awareness, allowing your capacity for regulation and connection to grow as you move through the healing process. You are the expert of your own experience, and we walk alongside you with curiosity, presence, and ethical commitment.
What sets Moonwater Integrative apart is our commitment to offering specialized trauma-informed care that deeply respects each client's lived experience. We work in a nervous system-affirming way, creating a sanctuary built on consent, safety, and relational co-regulation where healing is grounded in authenticity and your system's innate capacity to repair. Our ethical, consent-centered work with individuals honors your emotional needs and lived experience, allowing healing to unfold naturally and at your own pace. Whether you're working through trauma, anxiety, depression, or seeking deeper self-understanding, we offer rare and powerful modalities to support your transformation.
Moonwater Integrative was born from a personal calling—an intentional choice to create therapy that honors healing, dignity, and the root causes of trauma and emotional pain. We wanted to provide trauma-informed care for individuals seeking meaningful transformation beyond symptom management. Our path has included extensive training in somatic therapies, nervous system regulation, and attachment-based approaches. With nearly 30 years of clinical experience and a commitment to continuing education, we established Moonwater Integrative in 2021 to offer healing-based, relationally-informed, and ethically-grounded care. Through neuroscience modalities like ETT® and KAP, we hold space for respect, dignity, presence, and the courage it takes to heal. Montana's Flathead Valley is home to our practice, and we're honored to serve individuals across the state who are ready to reclaim their wholeness and move toward transformation.
